Our committee

How we’re governed

Harefield Transplant Club is a registered charity, governed by a board of trustees which takes responsibility for all elements of our work.

We’re regulated by Charity Commission and you can find our governing document on their website.

  • All of our trustees are voluntary and have specific duties which they must follow.
  • We also have a number of voluntary committee members who support the trustees by providing information, carrying out tasks, and sharing feedback and opinions to help with decision making.
  • Our committee meets online every two months and keeps in touch in between meetings too.
  • Committee members usually stand for one year or more, and are voted in at our Annual General Meeting (AGM). We can also co-opt committee members in at other points in the year.
  • We don’t require our committee members to have any charity experience – you just need to be a member with ideas, enthusiasm and a bit of time!
  • If you’re a member who would like to get more involved in our activities then please reach out to our Chair for information.
