Patient webinars

Working together with Harefield Hospital, the Club aims to create awareness and understanding of key issues that impact pre- and post-transplant patients. We’ve helped to develop and host educational webinars abou different topics, to help patients and their support network learn more about transplant life.

You can watch back the webinars at any time using the links below. You can also find additional, health-related webinars on the RBHT website.

COVID-19

COVID-19 has been a particular concern for many pre- and post-transplant patients. This is because some people who are immunocompromised (have a weakened immune system) are more likely to get sick with COVID-19 or be sick for a longer period. It’s important to note that not all immunocompromised people are affected by COVID-19 in the same way.

Since 2020, the transplant teams at Harefield and other specialists have hosted webinars to share the latest research, treatment options available and to answer questions and these are linked below. For the latest COVID-19 advice, please look at the Royal Brompton and Harefield website pages: the Q&A on COVID-19, vaccination advice for heart and lung transplant recipients or vaccination advice for pre-transplant patients.
