I had bronchiolitis, severe asthma, and pneumonia before I turned two, and lived with lifelong breathing difficulties that were later diagnosed as a form of interstitial lung disease. At 34, while on palliative care, I received the precious gift of a double lung transplant.
I joined the Harefield Transplant Club a few months before my transplant after hearing about it from another recipient. It was such a comfort to connect with people who truly understood – offering encouragement, hope, and practical advice.
This year, I joined the committee and hope to use my love for writing, storytelling, and design to support our public image and strengthen engagement within the club.
I’m married with two young children and draw deep peace and joy from my Christian faith; a hope that anchors me through life’s uncertainties.
