Newsletters

Our quarterly online newsletter is one of the ways we communicate with our members. We share helpful transplant information, stories and celebrations from patients, plus dates for your diaries – it’s all part of the joy of our club!

We aim to share positive news and ideas to inspire others to enjoy transplant life. We’re always looking for new contributors to our newsletter to write anything related to transplant life. We’re looking for short articles (around 400-500 words) or you can send a picture with a caption.

Contribute to the newsletter

Here are some ideas for what you could share:

  • Your transplant ‘hacks’ and ideas that make life easier for you
  • Milestones in your life, whether that’s heading off on holiday, a new home or a child/grandchild
  • The ‘small things’ that bring joy too – your favourite walk, practising a hobby or spending time in your happy place
  • If you’re creative, we welcome short stories, poems, artwork or photos that you’ve created
  • …Or something else entirely! Just contact our editor

Please send any questions and contributions to our editor Lynne Ogden at editor@harefieldhamsters.org, ideally one month before publication. We’re also happy to hear your suggestions for additional features! In December 2023 we added two new ‘activity pages’ thanks to your feedback.

How to receive the newsletter

Our newsletter is published quarterly and sent directly to members’ via the email address you used to sign up. We appreciate that some of our members do not have access to email – if this is the case, you can request to receive the newsletter by post on your membermojo page. We kindly ask that you only select the postal option if you need to, as this method adds to our costs as a charity.

If you’re not yet a member, click the button below for details on how to join.
