Hello, John here, I joined the committee during the 2024 AGM in Bournemouth. Having lived with a progressive and incurable lung scaring condition, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), for over 5 years I was extremely fortunate to receive my life giving double lung transplant in early 2021. Currently, I work part-time for a health care consultancy and I also chair an ILD Support Group, which I co-founded in 2015.

As a committee member of HTC, I hope to promote the club more widely, increase awareness of transplants more generally and advocate for improved services for patients their carers and families.

I’m a keen and regular badminton player – culminating this year (2024) when I took part in the BTG in Nottingham, along side my doubles badminton partner, Dave Webb also a member of the committee, it was such a wonderful and memorable occasion. I also love bikes and travelling with my wife.
