Transplant Garden

Work is already underway and the Transplant Garden is currently being created on the grounds of Harefield Hospital. A place for patients who are unable to walk to the benches and cafes on site can spend time with their visitors, breathe the fresh air and enjoy beautiful plants, birds and butterflies in the garden that offers accessibility as well as privacy.

The Transplant Garden is currently being built on the right hand side of the main entrance, opposite the Gatehouse with accessibility from Rowan Ward where patients will be wheeled out in their beds or wheelchairs onto a decking. This will enable more patients to escape the wards for a short time and enjoy the beautiful garden with their visitors of staff.

Thanks to some generous donations that outside hedge has been put in and the ground works are scheduled to start in September 2020.

We at the Harefield Transplant Club are honoured to be able to support this amazing project that will make such a huge difference to so many. We are raising funds for plants and seating , if you would like to be part of the team who is helping make this fantastic garden come to life, please visit our Just Giving page for a donation here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/transplantgarden
